FAQs & Postage

How to place an order/enquiry

Here at Ups A Daisy Bridal Flowers we like to make it simple to order your wedding flowers. If you click on the link contact us and fill in as much information about your wedding eg date, colours codes and quantity you require.

We shall then contact you normally within the same day, either by email or by phone
I will then send you a free no obligation quotation, which will include all postage and packaging along with an expected delivery date.

Once you are happy with the price and your order has been confirmed we shall keep you up dated at all times with the process of your order and email you on the day that we have them ready to post out to you, to make sure that you or a member of your family will be in to receive them.

If we are making you some thing a little bit different than the pictures on the web site we will send you pictures by email for your approval before we post anything out to you. There isn’t a extra charge for this service we do it completely free just for you.

All prices for our items are listed on our web site so you know exactly what you are paying, please note the prices quoted do not include PP this will be sent with your total quotation, with your enquiry.

How do I pay?

Most of our items are made to order so we do not have a shopping cart on our web site, this way we can keep control of our orders, we wouldn’t like you to go and order and pay for a bouquet from us and then find that we are unable to complete your order in time for your wedding date.

Once your order has been confirmed and you are happy with everything, a small deposit (not refundable) is required to secure your order in my diary. This also allows me to put your flowers, ribbons and any other accessories I will need to complete your order to one side. Payment can be made by online bank transfer (this is my preferred method as its free to both parties) Postal orders or by Paypal. At the moment we are unable to take credit or debit card payments over the phone.

I can do a short payment plan so you don’t have to pay for all your flowers in one go, I can arrange for you to pay half one month and the remaining half the following month. Sorry this can’t be extended by more than 2 months, we are strictly limited to space and don’t have the room to store flowers for fourth coming months.

Postage charges

Making sure your delivery gets to you is important, so we use the Royal Mail first class service, or for larger value items we use Next day special delivery guaranteed to reach you before 1pm. A signature is required on all parcels. If you were not at home when the postman/courier tried to deliver, they will always leave a calling card for you to rearrange delivery, or you can call at your local sorting office to collect in person for items that have been sent by the Royal Mail. We deliver to any where within the UK including Norther Ireland and can be sent to your home, work place or your parents address which ever is best for you.

Are your flowers real?

I get asked this question a lot of times are my flowers real. Let’s face it and be honest here there is nothing more beautiful than a fresh bouquet of flowers with their fragrant smells and wonderful aroma. But nowadays there is a large amount of good quality artificial flowers out there, I am not talking your cheap tacky £1 spray plastic flowers. Good quality artificial flowers are what we specialise in and spend a lot of time scanning our suppliers for them to be just right. In some cases you will be tempted to smell them as they look so real. Also fresh flowers are not always an option for some brides, they or a member of their wedding party may suffer from hay fever or allergic to pollen. You might be lucky enough to be getting married abroad, they are easy transportable and a lot lighter in weight and don’t need any special care such as watering. Oh and the most important thing to remember you can order them months in advance and you get to see them in plenty of time before your big day.

Who should I buy buttonholes for???

Traditionally the groom, best man, father of the bride, father of the groom, ushers and page boys all need buttonholes. Mothers are usually provided with a corsage to co-ordinate with their outfit. It’s a nice thought to provide a buttonhole for anyone playing an important role at the wedding, such as singing or reading. Grandparents always seem to appreciate a buttonhole as many of them come from a generation where all the guests would be provided with one. Buttonholes are not required for anyone wearing a military uniform. It also depends on your budget and what you would like.

Flower samples

The best way to check your shade and the quality of my work is to purchase a guest buttonhole. These can be purchased on the buttonhole, corsage section under Samples.

How far in advance do I need to order my flowers?

It is best to place your order as soon as you can. This way you will be guaranteed the design and flowers that are on my web site at the time of ordering. Please note I like to make my orders as they come in and don’t do enquires for more than 3 months in advance, this is due to my stock ability and space. Normally a small deposit is required. You don’t have to pay for all your flowers in one go, I can arrange for you to pay half one month and the remaining half the following month. Please do not be afraid to ask as I know how expensive getting married can be.

How do I look after my flowers?

The beauty of our flowers being artificial they can be ordered well in advance. The best way to store your flowers once they have been received, cover them well with acid free tissue paper and away from sunlight and strong smells. This way they will look a new as the day you bought them from us.

Do you issue brochures?

Gosh no, we would be forever at the printers. We like to change our designs, and like keeping up with the modern styles and colours. And from time to time we have special offers on ready made packages that are available to buy now.

Do you have a shop we can visit?

We are sorry but we do not have a shop. We are a internet based company so we don’t have a show room. All our work in displayed on our web site, along with pictures, codes and prices. However we do deliver any where with in the UK including Northern Ireland, and now post to any European Union country, please email us for your postal costs.

What If I want something a bit different?

That’s not a problem for me I love a challenge, give me your ideas and I will make your dream bouquet. This bespoke service is free of charge and we wouldn’t think to charge you any extra for our regular updates, pictures sent for approval by email, our dedicated one to one service. Its all part of our service to committing ourselves to you. The only thing that we ask is that you give us plenty of notice, especially at busy periods as we are very popular and get booked up very quickly. Please note I do not copy other florist designs so please don’t email me pictures from other web sites, I have my own imagination and like to be a little bit different than the run of the mill. As which you can probably tell from my own designs on my web site.
